Our Service Philosophy

At All Star Pediatrics, our philosophy is simple. We are a team working together with parents and guardians to keep all of our children happy and healthy. We are truly honored to be entrusted with each child’s care. This is a responsibility that we take very seriously. Therefore, we adhere to the highest standards of care that are set forth by the American Academy of Pediatrics. This requires continued education for ourselves to stay on the cutting edge of pediatrics. In turn, we feel it is our responsibility to educate our parents about the ever changing world of pediatrics. Through education of our parents and guardians, we are able to empower them to make the most informed decisions possible for their children.

Again, we feel our role is to educate, not dictate. That is why we spend the necessary amount of time with parents to explain treatment plans. We would rather take the extra time to explain why a child does not need an antibiotic or other treatment as opposed to prescribing an unnecessary one.

We are strong proponents of childhood vaccination and are happy to educate parents on their benefits. We also spend the necessary amount of time putting their fears to rest by presenting the latest research on vaccines. We are also happy to discuss the latest headlines with our patient’s families. This can help them sort out the valid points from the misinformation. These are just a few of the examples of our commitment to education.

However, we also realize that medicine is changing at a rapid pace. Therefore, it should be comforting to know that we have a very strong relationship with the specialists at the local children’s hospital, Kosair Children’s Hospital. In addition to Kosair, we also have access to the specialists at Texas Children’s Hospital, one of the nation’s largest children’s hospitals in Houston, Texas. This unique affiliation is a result of Dr. Allgeier’s residency training. Therefore, we can discuss care plans with both local and nationally recognized experts if the need arises.
